Services Latin America

FOR LATIN AMERICAN COMPANIES, BUSINESS ASSOCIATIONS, CHAMBERS, PUBLIC SECTOR

In an increasingly competitive world, the transfer of knowledge and technology has become a crucial element in driving development and innovation. In this context, Germany stands out as one of the world leaders in innovation and technological excellence.

We are proud to be able to facilitate this transfer of knowledge and technology from Germany to Latin America, working closely with our clients to identify opportunities, implement solutions and foster sustainable growth in the region.

Our approach is based on understanding the specific needs of each client and establishing strong connections with leading German experts and companies in their respective fields. We work closely with academic institutions, research centres and innovative companies in Germany to identify the best technological solutions and successful business models that can be adapted and successfully applied in the Latin American context.

Multidisciplinary team

Through our partners, based on both continents, we offer a comprehensive approach to knowledge and technology transfer, addressing both the technical aspects and the cultural challenges that may arise in the process.

With a shared focus on excellence, innovation and customer service, our partnership with AB Consulting and Sustent Technology & Trading UG enables us to strengthen our capabilities and offer comprehensive solutions to our clients. Together, we combine our experience, resources and expertise to tackle the most complex challenges and deliver outstanding results on every project.

We have Latin American partners who, in addition to their technical knowledge, provide a deep understanding of the local market, a solid network of relationships and resources that enrich our service offering.

Treatment

WATER AND WASTE

We recognise the critical importance of addressing these challenges in the region, where access to clean water and proper waste management are fundamental to the well-being of communities and the environment.

On the one hand, Latin America has an unparalleled wealth of water resources, but at the same time there is a need to improve water quality and availability due to pollution, unplanned urbanisation and the effects of climate change.

Any untreated waste ends up directly in the water, affecting its quality and the ecosystem. Hence the importance of managing both resources in parallel.

With a focus on water reuse, we develop effective strategies to meet the growing demand for water and reduce pressure on limited water resources.

Household, industrial and agricultural waste all offer significant potential for reuse and recycling. However, treatment rates are still very low in Latin America, underlining the urgent need for action.

In addition, the region is exceptionally rich in agricultural and livestock waste, which presents an even greater opportunity for the revalorisation and sustainable use of these resources.

Trend

Biofuels

Biofuels, derived from renewable biological sources, offer a unique opportunity to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and their environmental consequences. Among them, biomethane stands out for its versatility and its ability to contribute to the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Specifically, biogas can be produced from organic feedstocks and through anaerobic fermentation. Consisting mainly of methane and carbon dioxide, biogas can be refined to biomethane.

Its applications range from electricity and heat generation to transport as a fuel (Bio-CNG and Bio-LNG) or even being able to feed the natural gas grid as a substitute for fossil natural gas.

In Latin America, the transition to biofuels becomes even more relevant due to the vast availability of biomass in the region, either as waste from the agro-industrial chain or urban waste. This potential offers an opportunity to diversify the energy matrix, boost economic and social development by revaluing resources that are otherwise not used or adequately treated, often ending up in landfills and generating soil and water pollution.

Despite its potential, large-scale adoption of biomethane in Latin America faces challenges ranging from infrastructure to regulation and financing. However, with our support, these obstacles can be overcome to fully realise the benefits of this renewable fuel.

Highlight

GREEN HYDROGEN

Green hydrogen is key to the energy transition and since Germany cannot meet its demand for green hydrogen on its own, cooperation with Latin America is of vital importance to overcome this challenge. Research centres together with German companies are among the world leaders in knowledge generation, development, production and export of hydrogen technologies (electrolysers, fuel cells, etc.)..

There is a high potential for Latin American companies and institutions requiring:

  • academic education and specific technical training
  • project development
  • search for partners to form consortia
  • technology transfer
  • financing
